Apply now for CCIN Policy Lab & Prototype funding 2021

Would you like to collaborate with other CCIN members (Councils, Associates and Affiliates) to find co-operative solutions to the challenges facing local government? Is there a co-operative idea that you would like to run in your local area? If yes, we want to hear from you!

As a CCIN Member Council you can apply for up to £10,000 to deliver a Policy Lab and £1500 to deliver a Policy Prototype.  This is an Open Call for Policy Labs, and we have pulled together some of your ideas that have been suggested over the last year.

Policy Lab Ideas 2021

We’ve allocated £95k to fund these projects

We are keen that more councils get the opportunity to showcase their ambition, and so we have allocated funding for up to eight Policy Labs and ten Policy Prototypes this year.  We will also be limiting the number of projects that anyone council can lead on, to one project per organisation.  We are therefore recommending that you ‘buddy up’ with others if you wish to be involved in multiple projects.

Policy Labs are designed for cross Member participation and we recommend engaging a minimum of three other CCIN members (Affiliates and Associates should bid alongside Full Council members) to create a working group to support the development of your project.

For Policy Prototypes we would like to hear about projects supporting Children and Young People’s Services.  These can be submitted by a Member Council or an Associate Member and could also involve partner organisations in your area. You may also wish to engage with Affiliate Members to deliver your projects.

The deadline for submitting an EOI is 5pm Friday, 27th November 2020.
