About the event

The LGA Labour Group and Association of Labour Councillors (ALC) Local Government Conference 2023 will be held on the 11th and 12th of February 2023, and booking is now open!

It will follow the same format as the delayed 2022 conference – two full days of events, with an entire day dedicated to campaign training and councillor development as part of ‘Project Victory’ and the usual keynote conference speeches, plenaries, and policy workshops on Sunday. 

There will be many excellent speakers from local government and the front bench, including leading Labour politicians. The conference will be run over Saturday and Sunday, with the conference drinks reception and dinner on Saturday night.

The CCIN will be holding a Workshop at this event. The session will focus on the following:

Cooperative Councils in Action: From Community Wealth Building to Cooperative Placemaking, how the cooperative Values and Principles are making a real difference in communities

This session is for Opposition Groups, local councils and regional authorities.
