About the event

This interactive session brings together participants to reflect on and share their experiences of co-operative governance within their local areas, exploring what has been learned through practice and the impact of the approaches introduced across the first three sessions. Through discussion and collective reflection, participants will identify successes, challenges and emerging insights about creating more inclusive, participatory and effective governance arrangements.

This session will be an opportunity for local areas to shape the future development of this work. Insights, experiences and learning gathered from participants will inform a report and workshop which will be shared at the CCIN conference in 2027, helping to share practical learning and strengthen co-operative governance across the wider network.

Led by Rochdale Borough Council as part of the Co-operative Councils’ Innovation Network

Good governance is not only about structures and decisions. It is also about whose views are heard, how people work through disagreement, and whether communities have a meaningful part in shaping what happens next.

This four-part online series brings practical approaches to those questions. Join colleagues from across local government to explore Deep Democracy, relational public practice and sociocracy — then come back together in January to share what you have tried and what you have learned.
