Conducting a review of the barriers for deaf and disabled people receiving services and participating in the life of the borough.
Lewisham Disabled People’s Commission (LDCP) is an independent Commission set up in 2019 by Lewisham Council to support delivering commitments made in the Lewisham Corporate Strategy.
One of the key priorities in the Strategy is to make Lewisham ‘a welcoming place of safety for all, where we celebrate the diversity that strengthens us. The LDPC have played a major role in working towards achieving this vision by carrying out a review of the barriers for deaf and disabled people receiving services and participating in the life of the borough. Their report ‘If Not Now When’ was published in March 2023.
