About the event

You are invited to join in a series of discussions on Innovation in Social care: Personal, Local and Together.

Earlier this year Kirklees Council won CCIN funding to look at ‘Personalised Commissioning Model comparisons’, they are now bringing together Community Catalysts, Locality, Power to Change, SCIE and Think Local, Act Personal to hear about the challenges in social care and innovative projects they are involved in that address them. We will also hear from Bristol, Somerset County, and Kirklees councils and Cooperative Care Colne Valley and Kirklees Better Outcomes Partnership about how these approaches deliver improved outcomes for the communities and individuals they serve.

The discussions will take place as three one-hour webinars on 19 November, 26 November and 3 December, and will include plenty of time for discussion and sharing of experiences. You can find further details of each webinar and sign up links for each session below. Feel free to attend all three sessions or those that most interest you, and of course share this invite with others that might find them useful.

Please come along and share your experience of cooperative and partnership approaches to social care.

Event 3: Social Care Innovation Together: cooperative and partnership approaches

3rd December 10-11 am

We’ll be hearing from Susie Finlayson (Power to Change) about the benefits of cooperative approaches to social care before hearing from Colne Valley Care Cooperative about their exciting new care cooperative, owned by the community, service-users, and employees. We’ll then be hearing from colleagues at Kirklees Council about the Kirklees Better Outcomes Partnership, a nationally recognised partnership-led approach to supporting people to live well at home.

Come and share your experience of cooperative and partnership approaches to social care.
